I am the bouncing ball...

Day two of on-call Jury Duty...did not have to go in...

Thrown for a loop
Holidays really do a number on you...I am so out of the work-mode right now. It's like that first cigarette after you've quit smoking for a short while, it sucks you right back into the habit. It's already got me thinking to the next holiday, which is not until Thanksgiving I think. But at least that's TWO days off, so that'll be cool. And then with the passing of Turkey day, we turn to my favorite season, winter and Christmas...if I was still working at MSC, I'd have 2 weeks off no matter what(it was unfortunate for us non-exempt employees, cuz no work meant no pay), cuz our office closed during Christmas...man, that would've been bomb. But basically...the holiday spoiled me and now I'm whining about work. I'll get over it soon though...I just have to remember, I'm an adult now...blech.

When I took a break earlier, I had to get some coffee, and I witnessed one of the weirdest things. I pulled off my coffee cup from the stack, and then the next cup began to rise up...it rose up about halfway up the one underneath it before it stopped. It was so cool, it looked like a magic trick or something. So of course, having the analytical mind that I have, I began to try to figure it out...and so far, all I've come up with is that the type of material(styrofoam) kindof creates a magnetic field when rubbed up against one another, like when you rub a balloon on your hair to make it stick to the wall or even to make your hair stand up. It's cool to know about that, cuz one day, I might be in a situation where I could get stuck in the office, trapped by some foreign terrorists or something, and I'd have to MacGuyver my way out and use the magnetic field from the cups to deactivate our security sensors or something, yeah...that would be cool...
(man, I think it's pretty apparent how little I want to work right now.)

On a work note, I received my name plate today...woo hoo, now everyone who walks by my desk will finally know my name...
